Speedy Sums

Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

Speedy Sums is a mental maths game made by Blossom Labs. This page explains, in plain language, what we store about you and why. The short version: you can play without giving us anything, and if you sign in we keep only what the leaderboards need.

Playing without an account

Free play needs no account and sends us no personal information. Your settings, best scores, streak and totals are saved in your own browser's storage, on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

If you sign in

Ranked challenges and leaderboards need an account, which you create by signing in with Google. When you do, we receive and store:

  • your email address, and the name and profile picture address on your Google account, as supplied by Google;
  • the nickname you choose;
  • your scores in the daily and ranked challenges, with the date;
  • a copy of your game progress (best scores, streak and totals), so it follows you between devices.

We never see or store your Google password.

What other players can see

Your nickname and your leaderboard scores are public: anyone visiting the site can see them. Your email address, name and picture are never shown to other players.

How we use it

  • to sign you in and keep your account yours;
  • to show leaderboards and keep them fair;
  • to restore your progress when you sign in on another device;
  • to contact you about your account if we need to, which is rare.

We do not sell your information, show adverts or use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not send marketing email.

Who helps us run the site

Your information is handled on our behalf by:

  • Google, which provides sign-in;
  • Supabase, which stores accounts, nicknames and scores;
  • our website hosting provider, which delivers the site to your browser.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own. The game also loads Google's sign-in button from Google when you open a sign-in screen.

Visitor statistics

We count visits to understand which pages are used, using Vercel Web Analytics. It records things like the page viewed, the site you came from, and your country, browser and device type. It does not use cookies, does not follow you to other sites and does not record anything that identifies you personally.

Storage in your browser

The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your settings, progress and, if you sign in, the fact that you are signed in. These are needed for the game to work and are not used to track you across other sites.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, nickname and scores until you ask us to delete them. Scores on past leaderboards stay under your nickname while your account exists.

Your choices

You can change your nickname at any time from the leaderboard screen, and sign out there too. To see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have your account and scores deleted, email hello@blossomlabs.io from the address you signed in with. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law, including the right to complain to your local regulator.

Children

Free play is suitable for all ages and collects nothing. Accounts rely on Google sign-in, so you must be old enough to have a Google account in your country. If you believe a child has given us information they should not have, email us and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions are welcome at hello@blossomlabs.io.
