Mental Multiplication Practice

From times tables up to two-digit by two-digit, multiplication rewards practice more than any other skill. Pick a level and race the clock.

6 × 7 = 4218 × 4 = 7223 × 11 = 253

Tricks that make it faster

  • Split the bigger number: 18 × 4 is 10 × 4 plus 8 × 4, so 40 + 32 = 72.
  • Double one number and halve the other: 16 × 25 becomes 8 × 50, then 4 × 100 = 400.
  • To multiply by 5, multiply by 10 and halve. To multiply by 9, multiply by 10 and take one lot away.

How it works

You get 60 seconds of multiplication questions. Type the answer and the next one appears instantly, with no button to press. Four difficulty levels take you from first steps to genuinely hard, and your best score is saved on your device so you can watch it climb.
